Outside Lands Festival Information

Last year's Outside Lands festival was a great success, providing good times for the 130,000 attendees, record business for many local merchants, a boost to the citywide economy and revenue for the Recreation and Parks department. Last year's festival generated $815,000 for Rec and Park. This year's festival is guaranteed to generate $950,000, plus $1 for every ticket sold.

I'm hopeful that this year's festival will build on last year's success while minimizing any inconveniences to the surrounding neighborhoods. The festival, located in Golden Gate Park, runs from Friday, August 28th through Sunday, August 30th. Here is some information for both festival goers and neighbors of the park: Muni Service

The data collected by the consultant will be used to assist Rec and Park in developing goals for future events at the Polo Fields.
